Can I just remind everyone that if you do any events such as sportives, family fun rides, circuit races etc could you please let us know, so that we can put a report on the website and some photo's would be good too.
If anyone is interested in putting any bikes, cycle gear etc on the website, we are looking at starting a 'for sale' page, drop us an email or tweet it straight on.
We are looking to place the next order for new kit by Saturday 23rd July. Can you please check the website if you would like kit, especially the new items such as gilets, arm warmers, overshoes, track pants, leg warmers (which will be plain black), bib tights and more. If you need to check sizes, log onto the Champion Systems website and there is a 'gooley man' who you can dress and it also prices up the clothing too. Dont forget, on childrens sizes there is no VAT. If you would like any kit, please email me with exactly what you would like and sizes by Thursday 21 July. Payment is to be made by the following Wednesday - 27th July as the club has to pay for the order 'up front'. We will probably put in another order before Christmas but we do need a minimum order of 10 items before they will accept our order.
Kit is due to be delivered on Thursday 25th August 2011, can you please make sure all payments are sent to Lorraine Egglestone no later than 17th August 2011.
More orders can be placed from the beginning of September for those of you wanting your winter kit.
As you will know we had our grass track event on Sunday which was a great success. We had many grass track riders (approx 50) from all over the North West including 8 riders from Mossley CRT (Manchester) who thoroughly enjoyed their day. With many adult and junior races the atmosphere was really good with everyone enjoying themselves, none more than the many Go-Ride junior riders, who raced around the 300m track inbetween the track races. The youngest rider being Campbell who at only 3 years old really enjoyed himself and the oldest grass track rider at 71 years old.
The sponsors were fantastic as were Bob and Shona Mclean who were a great help to the club and their help was invaluable to us and we very much appreciated it. Many spectators came and braved what looked like would be bad weather in the morning but turned out to be really good and held out all afternoon, we couldnt have asked for better.
The committee would like to thank everyone who came and supported the event from the sponsors, riders and spectators, we couldnt have had such a good event without everyone - Thank you.
For a full report on the event see Saturdays 'Herald'.
